As a former transition teacher, Dr. Fisher was passionate about helping students build independence so they could pursue their dreams—whether in work, college, or social settings. One day, a student lost his backpack and struggled to navigate the situation, sparking an idea: What if there was a tool to guide students through stressful moments, promoting self-reliance?

That idea became Smart Steps Mobile, an app designed to support decision-making, social skills, and self-advocacy. Today, Dr. Fisher works with families, businesses, professionals, and agencies to replace repetitious prompting with an empowering solution, saving time while fostering independence. By equipping individuals with the tools to make confident choices, she is shaping a future where more people thrive in work and life.
