Libby Trammell (She/Her/Hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She worked with survivors of human trafficking for ten years, first in South Dakota and then Missouri. She specialized in case management and crisis intervention and now works to educate audiences on the realities of trafficking and exploitation. Libby currently serves as the Community Education Manager for the Missouri Coalition Against Trafficking and Exploitation (MOCATE), a statewide group dedicated to combatting human trafficking across several sectors.

Join the Missouri Coalition Against Trafficking and Exploitation (CATE) to learn about the realities of human trafficking in the US and Missouri specifically. Delve into the definitions of human trafficking, common tactics used by pimps/traffickers, and red flags to look for in people experiencing trafficking. Participants will study the specific ways in which people with disabilities are vulnerable to trafficking and strategies for prevention. This session will feature interactive components, review of Missouri resources, and a Q & A with the presenter. 

Learning Objectives : 

1. Participants will be able to identify at least 3 behaviors that are red flags for trafficking. 

2. Participants will be able to identify the definitions of sex trafficking and labor trafficking. 

3. Participants will demonstrate increased knowledge on human trafficking.
